Accused teen sex attacker gaoled for assault
A 14-YEAR-OLD boy, one of six males charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl at a park in Orange last February, has been sentenced to 15 months’ gaol for assaulting a law officer while in custody.
The juvenile, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with assault and malicious damage while awaiting trial.
He appeared yesterday (Tuesday) in Orange Children’s Court via audio visual link from Sydney’s Reiby Juvenile Justice Centre.
The boy was also sentenced to six months’ gaol for affray, common assault and malicious damage, also occurring since he was arrested in February and charged with the five other males with the alleged sexual assault. |
