New TVs needed for Cowra Hospital
MANY of Cowra District Hospital’s television sets no longer work following the recent changeover to digital TV – now the Hospital Auxiliary wants to buy replacement sets for patients.
The auxiliary and hospital staff will conduct a fund-raising quilt exhibition and business trade display on Saturday, July 28, at the PCYC in Binni Creek Rd. The first showing will be held from 2pm to 5pm, and the second showing will be an evening function from 7pm to 10pm.
Tickets for the afternoon showing are $5 per person and can be bought at the door. Afternoon tea will be available for a gold coin donation
Tickets for the evening showing are $12 each, which includes a complimentary glass of wine and nibbles. Tickets are available from Cowra District Hospital, at the door, or by phoning Susan Tomlinson or Susan Schofield on (02) 63640 2300 during business hours.
Business houses will be set up displays of their products and all will be for sale. The hospital staff will also have a table with handmade items for sale.
There is also a raffle for a double-bed patchwork quilt (above right), donated by the Quilters Co-op, a patchwork bag and a table runner, all to be drawn on July 28.
Tickets for the raffle are at various Cowra outlets and at the hospital.
