Hooded thieves attack man with iron bar
A MAN has been attacked with an iron bar during a break and enter in Wellington.
The 56- year-old was asleep inside his Arthur St home when two males wearing “hooded” clothing forced open the front door about 12:20am Wednesday.
The victim was assaulted with what is believed to be an iron bar, similar to a crowbar.
The offenders demanded the victim hand over his wallet.
The victim contacted Triple Zero and the offenders ran from the scene.
The man was taken by ambulance to Wellington Hospital and treated for head injuries.
He is currently in a stable condition.
The offenders are described as 18 to 20 years of age, one reported to be wearing a blue hooded jumper, and the other wearing a black hooded jumper. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dubbo Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. |
