Workshops help communities
rebound from flood troubles
COMMUNITY support at a personal level will be delivered at free Quest for Life Foundation “Bounce Back” workshops at Moree on August 21, Inverell on August 22 and Rowena on August 23.
Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Rural Support Program leader, Cheryl Pope, says the workshops are being delivered in response to demand from the community.
“People were telling us that they needed help getting back on their feet following flood and other difficulties,” says Ms Pope.
“We knew the Quest for Life workshops had been very welcome and effective in Queensland and we expect to see the same positive results here.”
The workshops are open to everyone who would like help in getting through life’s challenges of serious illness, grief, loss, trauma and uncertainty.
Ms Pope says the Quest for Life Foundation is an initiative of Petrea King, who has become well-known for helping people manage their lives in meaningful ways in the face of difficult challenges.
“The workshop offers practical solutions to help individuals and the community through trying circumstances,” Ms Pope says.
People interested in attending a workshop should register with Cheryl Pope (02) 6391 3948, firstname.lastname@example.org or Jenny Croft, 0429 446 417, email@example.com by Wednesday, August 15.
