Truck repairs delay Cowra’s
garbage, recycling services
COWRA’S two garbage and recycling collection trucks are out of action for mechanical repairs.
Consequently, the general rubbish pick-up due for Tuesday, July 31, will now be picked up by a replacement vehicle on Wednesday and Thursday, August 1 and 2, says a spokesman for Cowra Shire Council.
The recycling bins due to be emptied on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 31 and August 1, won’t be picked up this week.
All residents, however, are asked to put out their recycling bins with their general rubbish for pick-up next week.
The garbage service, with some delays, should be operating fully by Thursday, August 2, the spokesman says.
Cowra Council has apologised for inconvenience to residents and ratepayers.
