Woman’s body found in Queanbeyan River
A WOMAN’S body has been found in a river at Queanbeyan, police say.
The body, believed to be that of a female aged in her 60s, was located in the Queanbeyan River near the ACT border about 2:40pm yesterday (Wednesday).
Police say although the body is yet to be formally identified, it’s believed the deceased is a Queanbeyan woman reported missing last Monday.
A post mortem will be conducted to help determine the cause of death, which is not being treated as suspicious, police say. |
