Girl, 15, charged over school assaults
A 15-YEAR-OLD girl has been charged after a teacher and two students were allegedly assaulted at a school in West Dubbo last week.
The girl allegedly struck a 33-year-old male teacher as he tried to break up several fights at the East St school, Dubbo West, about 1:25pm last Thursday, police say.
Two female students also were allegedly assaulted.
None of the injured parties sought medical treatment.
Police arrested a 15-year-old girl at a home in Dubbo on Wednesday.
She was taken to Dubbo Police Station where she was charged with affray, one count of assault staff member while attending school, and two counts of assault school student while at school.
She was granted conditional bail to appear before Dubbo Children’s Court in October. |
