A MAN has died after crashing into a tree while skiing at Guthega, in the Kosciusko National Park.
The 53-year-old man, from Tathra on the South Coast, was skiing with a friend in the Guthega area of the Perisher Ski Resort when he crashed into a tree about 2:20pm yesterday (Monday).
After the accident, the man was transported on a sled to the bottom of the ski run, where he complained of chest pain, police say.
