Here’s a challenge for budding baristas
NOMINATIONS are open for the 2012 Western New South Wales Culinary and Barista Challenge to be held on Friday, October 12, at Bathurst Memorial and Entertainment Centre.
“The inaugural Western NSW Culinary and Barista Challenge is open to all Western NSW secondary school and TAFE Western students, apprentice chefs and budding baristas,” says the Department of Education’s Jacqui Rudge.
“The challenge will expose participants to potential employers and real-life experience of the hectic pace of the hospitality industry.
“It will be similar to Masterchef and will promote the region’s local produce,” Ms Rudge says.
