Woman charged over glassing

POLICE have charged a woman after she allegedly glassed a man during a domestic dispute at a sports club on the South Coast.

Officers were called to the McGregor Ave club about 6:20pm yesterday (Monday) and found a 32-year-old Barrack Heights man suffering a deep laceration to his face.

He was taken to Shellharbour Hospital, where he’s expected to undergo emergency surgery.

Detectives arrested a 42-year-old woman at her Barrack Heights home a few hours later.

She was charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm and given conditional bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court later this month.
