40 new audio guides for
Cowra’s Japanese Garden
BRAND new state-of-the-art audio guides will be installed in early February to enhance the visitors’ experience as they stroll through Cowra’s Japanese Garden.
More than 40 audio points are installed throughout the garden and in the Cultural Centre. It’s like having your own personal tour guide to explain the history, gardening concepts, Japanese culture and other points of significant interest. This makes a visit to the garden a truly memorable experience.
The 2010 Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Festival at the garden will be held from September 22 to 25. The main family day will be on Saturday, September 25. A full program of events is being planned.
The persimmon trees at the garden are absolutely loaded. This must be a good year for the persimmons. They are fat and juicy.
Why not have a bit of fun on your next visit and feed some of the Japanese koi carp that live in both lakes at the garden. Fish food is available for sale at the Gift Shop. They will be extremely pleased to see you.
Don’t forget that dogs are permitted in the garden if kept on a leash at all times. Dogs are also permitted on the outside terrace of the cafe. They’ll really appreciate the chance for a walk, rather than being left in a hot car in the car park.
Unfortunately, the screening of movies at the garden has been discontinued until further notice. |
