Man arrested for alleged obscene
exposure to school children
A GUNNEDAH man has been arrested and charged after allegedly exposing himself to a group of school children. Six male and female children, aged between 12 and 16, were walking along Little Conadilly St about 3:15pm yesterday (Monday), police say. The children confronted by the man who has allegedly exposed himself to them from a neighbouring property. The man is alleged to have then followed a group of young girls and, when in front of them, exposed himself for a second time. He has then smashed a beer bottle on the ground, walking away with his hands down the front of his trousers. The children were uninjured and reported the incident to their parents who contacted police. Officers located a 34-year-old man a short time later in Little Conadilly St where he was arrested and taken to Gunnedah Police Station. The man was charged with two counts of wilful and obscene exposure and other offences. Bail refused and he will appear in Tamworth Local Court today (Tuesday). |
