Council advises that the low level bridge will be temporarily closed to traffic on Monday 28 May from 9–11am. The closure will include Low Level Bridge Road from the Redfern Street intersection to the Lachlan Street intersection to accommodate the National “Sorry Day” March.

The March will proceed from the eastern side of the low-level bridge at 10am and continue to the western side of the bridge for the official ceremony. Residents are invited to participate in the March as a way of showing their commitment towards reconciliation.

Council apologises for any inconvenience that these necessary road works may cause local residents. For any queries, contact Council’s Infrastructure and Operations Department on 6340 2070.

Council, as contractor to the Roads and Maritime Services, will also use this time to undertake the widening of the Mid-Western Highway at Walli Road. Residents are again advised that there may be minor disruptions to

traffic during this time.

Sewer inspections

Contractors for Council, Interflow, will be carrying out closed-circuit television inspections of Council’s sewerage system in the next fortnight as part of Council’s asset management program. A representative from Interflow or Council will contact residents if access to their property is required. For any queries, contact Council’s Infrastructure and Operations Department on 6340 2070.
