Man missing after hospital visit – police
POLICE are appealing for assistance to locate a man who went missing after he received treatment at Bathurst Base Hospital.
Raymond “Ray” Wehrstedt, 60, (pictured) travelled to Bathurst from Parkes last Friday, June 8, to visit his family.
He left the hospital at 5pm.
Police have been told Mr Wehrstedt was meant to get a bus home to Parkes that evening but he failed to catch the bus or return home.
Serious concerns are held for Mr Wehrstedt’s welfare as he suffers from an on-going medical condition, has not made contact with his family and has only a small sum of cash with him.
Mr Wehrstedt is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170 to 180cm tall with a large build and weighing approximately 100 to 120kg.
He has cropped grey hair and was last seen wearing a flannelette jumper and black track pants.
Anyone with information about Raymond Wehrstedt’s whereabouts should contact Bathurst Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
