Eight firearms stolen from house
EIGHT rifles and shotguns have been stolen from a house at Wilcannia.
Police say the six rifles and two double-barrel shotguns were reported missing from the Palmer St home about 6pm Monday.
It appears the home was broken into while unoccupied between 5pm last Friday and 1pm Saturday.
Forensic specialists have examined the premises and investigators are appealing for information.
The stolen firearms are a 2-20 Swift rifle, a 30-60 Winchester rifle, a 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun, a 223 Sako rifle, a 12-gauge Berretta double-barrel shotgun, a .223 Shilen rifle and two .22 Varmint rifles.
